Craft Logbook for Claude
A free Claude plugin that keeps a record of your Claude chats in your own Craft space: every prompt word for word, every response, filed by project.
What it is
Craft is a notes and documents app for Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad and the web. People use it the way they would a shelf of notebooks and folders: project plans, meeting notes, to-do lists and reference docs, all searchable and synced across their devices. There is a free plan.
Claude is the AI assistant made by Anthropic. A long chat with it produces plans, decisions and finished work, but all of that stays inside the chat, where it gets hard to find a few weeks later.
Craft Logbook for Claude connects the two. As you work, Claude writes each chat up in your Craft space: one doc per chat with your prompts word for word and Claude’s complete responses, a dashboard for each project that lists its chats newest first with where each one left off, and a Start Here page that maps everything. Open Craft and the whole history of a project is there, and Claude, or any other AI, can pick the project back up without being briefed again.
It works in the Claude app and Claude Code, and talks only to Craft’s official connector.
Why it exists
Long-running projects lose their context in old chats. Finding something Claude said three weeks earlier means scrolling, and notes taken by hand rarely get read. So the plugin has Claude write the notes as it works and file them in Craft, where everything else already lives.
What it does
- Starts a doc for each chat once the chat produces something worth keeping, then adds every exchange after that.
- Keeps a red dashboard for each project, so it stands out in the folder.
- Keeps one Activity Log across every project, with each chat’s first prompt.
- Backfills chats from before you installed it, a few at a time.
- Writes the prompt for your next chat when you say wrap up, so the next chat starts where this one stopped.
- Never deletes anything. It lists what should go and you decide.

Install
You need a Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise plan and a Craft account. Any Craft plan works.
- In Claude, open Customize > Plugins > Add > Add marketplace and enter Doctype-Noob/craft-logbook-for-claude. Then add Craft Logbook for Claude from the list.
- Open the plugin’s Connectors tab and connect Craft. Pick the space you want to use.
- In a new chat, say: set up my logbook. It asks three quick questions and builds the pages.
- Paste the always-log line setup gives you into Settings > Profile. Without it, Claude only logs chats that look like they’re about Craft.
Once Anthropic approves the directory listing, step 1 becomes: search for Craft Logbook for Claude in Customize > Plugins and select Add.
